NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Zareh Gorjian has been at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for over 14 years, producing scientific animations and visualizations for JPL scientists and missions. In doing this he has also developed software to make these visualizations.

Zareh has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Computer Science, for both he specialized in Computer Graphics. He has written a number of computer graphics rendering programs over the past 20 years. During the past 9 years he has introduced low cost, high quality output animation products to JPL and the Digital Image Animation Laboratory (DIAL).

Zareh has worked on three IMAX movies and his animations have appeared on network news programs as well as Discovery Channel specials and other documentaries about the space program. His work has also appeared on the cover of various periodicals including Nature and Science.
