Parking and Logistics

Location

VisionFest, organized by the School of Informatics, is located on the first floor of the Informatics and Communications Technology Complex on the IUPUI campus.
Physical address: 535 W. Michigan St., Indianapolis, IN 46202 (corner of Michigan & West streets). See a map here.

Student Drop-Off/Pick-Up

Students and guests may be dropped-off and/or picked-up in the turn-around area located on the northside of the Informatics and Communications Technology Complex. Please note that there is a 20-minute limit in the turn-around area. Do not leave your vehicle unattended.

Parking

Parking is free. However, all guests arriving by car must visit the registration table after parking.
Cars: Please park in the lot on the north side of Michigan St. opposite the Informatics and Communications Technology Complex. Enter the lot from Michigan St. Do not park in the garage.

Buses: After dropping students off, buses must park in the turn-around to the northeast of University Place Conference Center & Hotel. The University Place Conference Center & Hotel is located at 850 W. Michigan St. Get directions here.

Schedule

VisionFest recently revised its Friday afternoon and Saturday schedule. Review the new schedule here.
Friday, October 22: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 23: 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Sign-in/Registration

Pre-registered students and guests must sign-in at the registration table upon arrival to receive program and workshop information.

Lunch

Lunch is not provided. During Friday’s two-hour lunch break, guests may go to the IUPUI Campus Center food court, approximately a two-block walking distance away (see a map and directions here).

School of Informatics Tours for Teachers and Parents

Teachers/Parents: While students are in workshops from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., teachers and parents are invited to participate in an information session, short tour and Q&A with a School of Informatics advisor. Those interested should meet at the registration table at 10:00 a.m.

Teacher and Parent "Rest Area"

Teachers/parents may make use of a special “rest area” when not attending VisionFest programming. Ask the registration desk for location.
